Our Roadmap
Here’s a sneak peek into what we’re working on.
3 November 2024
Local API
We’re excited to introduce the Watergate Local API, which will enable you to control Sonic directly using your preferred system.
You’ll also gain access to raw telemetry data, allowing seamless integration with a wide range of platforms.
3 November 2024
Home Assistant Integration
We’re working on bringing full Home Assistant integration to Sonic. Soon, you’ll be able to manage your water system seamlessly within the Home Assistant platform. From monitoring usage to automating leak prevention, Sonic will be a fully integrated part of your smart home setup—making water management smarter and easier.
25 February 2025
Matter Integration
We’re excited to announce that Sonic will soon be compatible with Matter, the new standard for smart home connectivity. This integration will make it easier than ever to connect Sonic with a wide range of smart home devices, creating a unified, seamless experience across platforms. Stay tuned as we bring smarter water management to the Matter ecosystem!
22 March 2025
World Water Day Double Launch
To celebrate World Water Day we’re introducing to new products Tile and Bridge V2. Read more about each below.
Tile
We’re expanding our ecosystem with Tile, an ultra-thin point leak sensor designed to fit under appliances like washing machines and dishwashers. Powered by batteries that last up to 10 years, Tile also features a temperature sensor, humidity sensor, sounder, and LED lights—extending water management beyond just freshwater supply. It operates on our proprietary Watergate Radio protocol, ensuring long-range performance even in hard-to-reach areas.
Bridge V2
Alongside Tile, we’re introducing Bridge V2, the hub that connects everything. Equipped with USB-C and PoE as standard, Bridge V2 also includes an expandable slot for future technologies like LoRa WAN and e-SIM, offering even greater flexibility for smart water management.
Q1 2025
Hot Water Certification
To ensure total property coverage, Sonic is being certified for hot water pipes. A lot of background testing is underway to ensure all materials, firmware and calibration offer the same reliable leak detection and water management with hot water as with cold water. When released, the App will be able to display separate and combined water consumption.
Q2 2025
Watergate Large Pipe Solutions
Many buildings have large diameter incoming pipes. We’re bringing new solutions built specifically for high-volume water infrastructures that connect natively into the Watergate ecosystem. More details are on the way, so stay tuned!
